Introduction

Unlike a traditional compressor which operates on fixed speed or the first generation AC inverter technology, Midea has a range of DC Inverter split systems that offer real savings in energy consumption and reliable, even temperature control with quiet operation.An inverter is a power conversion circuit. In an inverter air conditioner, the revolutions of the compressor are controlled by this circuit. By raising the frequency of the current, the output of the compressor is increased. Similarly, lowering the frequency will reduce the output. By regulating the voltage, current and frequency, an inverter air conditioner can provide much more even temperature control than non-inverter models. The indoor unit SET temperature determines the load of the compressor. When the unit has achieved the SET temperature and is able to maintain this temperature without load, the electronics kick in and allow the Inverter compressor to reduce its capacity, resulting in energy savings.An AC inverter is not as efficient as a DC inverter because the AC power has to first be converted to DC and then back to AC. Energy loss arises in the process of power conversion.

In Sleep Mode, the unit automatically increases the heating or decreases the cooling by 1 degree per hour for the first two hours of use, then holds the temperature steady for 5 hours before ceasing operation.

True Stop/Start Timer

Instead of a common run down timer, the remote control has a clock facility that allows you to program when you want your air conditioner to start and finish.

Follow Me (Available to X series only)

By pressing the Follow Me button and keeping the remote close to you, you tell the air conditioner to set the temperature from whatever the remote happens to be. This counteracts the tendency for the air conditioner to stop cooling or heating because the air around the unit has reached its set temperature.

Self Cleaning (Available to X series only)

Pressing Clean on the remote control automatically cleans the evaporator to avoid build up of bacteria and keep the air fresh.

LCD Display (Available to X series only)

The LCD Display on the indoor unit of the air conditioner can be turn on and off. When it is on, the cool blue display shows you the current temperature setting, timer, fan speed and other displays.

Two Direction Air Vane Technology

In cooling mode the air vane opens counter clockwise to direct the air horizontally, allowing for an even cooling effect. In heating mode the air vane opens clockwise directing the air downwards, this time for an even heating effect.

Service Valve Protection Cover

Protection covers prevent condensate water dripping off the valves when units are installed overhead.

Unlike most bulky portables in the marketplace, the Midea Portable M3 series are compact and have slimline design.

Portable M3 series are big in features. They come with remote control and have convenient features like Timer facility, Swing option that allows you to select the vane position or to oscillate forward and backwards for an even air distribution, Turbo function to select the strongest fan speed, Sleep function that allows for the temperature not to get too cold when used in a bedroom situation at night, Follow Me function that allows for the temperature to be sensed from where the remote control is located.

Inconvenient to drain the condensate water? Slinger Up Fan system helps to reduce the need for external drainage as condensate water is used in the cooling process. Condensate water is expelled as a fine mist via the hot air exhaust hose. (In high humidity, unit may need to be manually drained.)

Makes the unit increase its SET Temperature by 1 degree after every 30 minutes for 2 hrs and then operates on this temperature for a further 7 hours allowing for the temperature not to get too cold when used in a bedroom situation at night.

R410a Gas

Touted as the refrigerant gas of the future, R410a is the current preferred substitute for R22 gas. It has a higher thermal volumetric cooling capacity and thus better thermal exchange properties. The result is better system efficiency. R410a exhibits better environmental credentials than many other refrigerant gases.
